Happy Tuesday!

Kymbell is enjoying her condiments more than her chicken I think. She has ranch all over face and hands I'm pretty sure the chicken didn't get any ranch b/c she ate it all. I can't believe she will be 1 in 2 weeks :( She has grown up so fast on us. She can stand all by herself , go from squatting to standing, cruise around furniture, go up the stairs faster than I can, shake her head to tell you no.
On another note Konner is out of the hospital and seems to be better, but on a pretty bad medicine that is very hard for us to get him to take. It is a pill called cipro he has to take it twice a day along with ear drops 3 times a day. He was on a lot of medicine while in the hospital. He was on 4 different medicine throughout the day 4 times a day. He has follow up appointment with the ent in 1 week. Hopefully the bacteria that caused all this mess will be gone and we will not have to have anymore medicines. He will start a pre-k program on the 2nd and I'm not sure I can say that I'm looking forward to it. I have a bad feeling he is going to have a hard time getting used to a different schedule during the days that he is there. He will be turning 5 in 3 very short weeks.
Greyson started the 2nd grade yesterday and he seems to really enjoy his teacher. I think we will definitely have a better year than last year. I can't believe that he is already in his 3rd year of school.

Hospital..

Yes, you read right one of my children is in the hospital. Konner is the not so lucky child at this time. It started out as a ear infection/drainage with some slight ear pain. After about a week and it not getting any better with me putting ear drops in 3 times a day and his ear getting swollen I called the doctor and made an appointment that night. The doctor seemed to think we would need to be put in the hospital, but gave him a shot and a script of antibiotics to see if that would help over the night and wanted us back early the next morning to check him out. Unfortunately it had gotten worse over night and he sent Konner to the hospital to be admitted to the hospital for at least 5 days if not up to 10 days. They say that he has mastoiditis (infection of the mastoid bone in the skull) it is not a good thing, but they think that the antibiotics will take care of it. He also is having surgery right now to take his tubes out, drain his ear, clean it, and take a sample of the infection to see what we are dealing with defiantly. He has been so good these past 2 days in the hospital not complaining about anything. They put his iv in his arm and he didn't even whimper not even when they took it out and moved it to a different spot in his arm. He had a little rough time today b/c he could not eat from 5am to after his surgery at 3pm poor little guy. They have a great kids floor with tons of stuff for him to do movies, playroom, ps2 for him to play, and any arts or crafts that he might want to do. Hopefully he will be out of surgery soon and it will not be as bad as we thought it was.

W...

Kadence speaks a language all of her own. Most of the time she says I lova you, but if you try to hard to get her to say I love you she's picks on us and says w. It really sounds like it in an Arkansas accent. Here are a more funny things she says:
Shayshun=Greyson
Nonner=Konner
Kimmel or Moo Moo= Kymbell
Bess You=Bless You
Peas=Please
She is such a copy cat and says anything you say no matter how big of a word it is, she can say it or try really hard. I am happy to say we bought our last pack of diapers for her last week SHE IS POTTY TRAINED. Thank Goodness one less child in diapers. I finally decided after her staying dry during nap time 2 days in a row that she was completely ready to be diaper less and we have taken her to dinner in public and she did GREAT. She has been the easiest to potty train it only took 1 full week of working with her for her to figure it out.

My Birthday Present!!!

This is a picture of my present from my wonderful husband. It is a MacBook Pro. Yeah!!! I despise  my dell computer b/c it is slow and we have had nothing but trouble with it. So Kyle made me think I was getting the TIVO that I had asked for and then surprised  with taking me to the Mac section of the store and buying it for me. He also bought a case for it and a time capsule so I can move all my pictures to my new computer. Since he is working on my birthday he is taking me to my favorite restaurant Geisha steakhouse (just like shogun) to eat tomorrow.

Well Check for Kymbell

Finally Kymbell had a well check-up, she was sick when she was suppose to have her 6 and 8 month check-up appointments so we finally had one yesterday. She is right on track with her growth and her ears looks great. YEAH!! She is in the 50% for head circumference, 75% for her weight, and is above the 90% for her height. So she is a long skinny string bean. She had to have a couple of shots to get caught up, but she had no problems and didn't even cry when they gave them to her.(She might have been eating a sucker :) He really didn't have much to say except not to give her milk keep her on formula. We have to go back in a month for another check-up and more shots.

Just when I thought.....

So our little family has not had any interesting stuff going on with and it has been pretty boring. Well we had lots of people at our house and family in town the past 2 weeks, but nothing going on with the kids. Kymbell has not had any problems with her ears and she is finally well enough that we can get her caught up on her shots and have a well check-up. Although she has had a couple of bad nights and been kinda cranky b/c she is teething really bad. Her gums are all swollen and she is chewing on everything she gets her hands on. Kadence has been perfect. Konner hasn't had any major trouble with his ears except for swimming and water getting in them. Greyson hasn't really sick since we moved here.
So just when I thought it was getting boring Greyson came home from Arkansas (from visiting his grandparents) and he has a lump in his left peck. So I waited a few days to see what happened with it, not knowing that he had it the entire time he was in Arkansas (because the others didn't bother to call and tell me or ask what they should do). So I finally decide to take him b/c he has had it a couple of weeks I thought and it seems to change in size.
It was Friday my Doctor didn't have a good explanation for the lump in his chest. All he says is let me think about it and talk to an Endocrinologist. Monday rolls by and his really doesn't have any news. Tuesday his nurse calls and says we are being referred to an Endocrinologist and needed to be seen within 5 days. So I called the office and they said no openings until end of August first of Sept. I plainly tell her he is 7 and needs to be seen in 5 days. All she says is sorry would you like to make an appointment for then or what.(I am not happy the way this conversation is going with this girl) So I told her no thanks I would call and have my doctor to get me in. She says I'm sorry we really don't have any appointments open, but we can put you on a waiting list in case somebody cancels. Ok I don't sit around my house with 4 kids ready to leave at the drop of a phone call that she might or might not give me. So I called my doctors office and within a couple of minutes later they called and told me I have an appointment with that doctor at 9:45 on Friday.(no appointments until and of August my butt) I'm not sure that I really will like the office after this incident. Anyway wish us luck and pray that it is nothing bad.

Update:So Grey had his appointment today with a great pediatric endocrinologist. He is very well known and worked at a children's hospital in San Diego. Anyway he thinks Greyson has an increased level of a hormone that has caused his lump in his chest and we will have lab work done. The labs that he is having done will take 2 weeks to come back and we won't know the results until his next appointment on the 4 of Sept. We just need to know where it coming from or how he is getting it in his system. It may be caused by a very small tumor in his brain or a couple of other things. The doctor didn't seem overly concerned, but it is something we need to figure out and get fixed. If it did happen to be a  tumor it can be controlled with a pill he can take and he didn't seem to think that is would be a big deal to get into check. All we can do now is wait.

Miss Kadence's 2 year photos

We had Miss Kadence's 2 year pictures yesterday and it was great. She did so good and did poses for them and on her own. This pictures didn't scan great, but here is her expressions sheet that we had framed and matted at the picture place. We love taking the kids there b/c they are great and pretty much do what ever you want them to and take all the time needed.
