BACK TO THE DOCTOR AGAIN

So today was the day Kymbell was going to get the all clear of being sick. (Yeah Right) Here we go again is all I keep saying to myself. She has gained almost 1 lb back, but that's the only good news. She had a cough when she was in the hospital, but it was nothing and her ear infection wasn't that bad. Now she has a full blown double ear infection (Doc is already taking about tubes) THIS STINKS. Well for the cough it turned into bronchitis and upper respiratory infection. So now we have a steroid to take along with a albuterol nebulizer 4 times a days and a shot of rossefin for the ear infection. Then tomorrow we go back to see how the ears are and get a different script of oral medication for it and hope that the albuterol helped. If it does not we will make a trip to x-ray to see what is going on with her chest. He is worried it might turn into pneumonia and that would mean back to the hospital we go. I do not think I can handle another trip to the hospital. She is just to sweat for this.

She kinda has it!!

Just a couple of pics of Kymbell trying to master the art of crawling. She has been able to go where she wants by crab crawling backwards for awhile, but now she can get what she wants by going forward. I wouldn't call it crawling it's more kinda like a inchworm. She really isn't happy with the way our floor feels on her toes so she does a pilates move to try to get out of hurting her little feet.

Kadence just sitting at the table eating. That is one of her favorite things to do next to copying everything that you say. She is such a sweat girl.

I think it's over.....

I am in hopes that the Rota virus has ran it's course through our house. Kadence has stopped all of her symptoms and slowly starting to eat again. Kymbell is feeling a lot better and the Dr. has pretty much cleared her of any problems from the virus. We are still on a different formula (lactose free) for another week just so we don't upset her stomach. We have yet another Dr. appt. in 6 days to check her weight since she over 1 lbs while she was sick and to check her ear infection b/c she didn't get to take the antibiotics to get rid of it. We are pretty sure she got the virus from a shopping cart.

FINALLY, WE ARE OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got out of the hospital today. I was very afraid that
we wouldn't get out until late tonight b/c my Dr. doesn't usually do rounds until late at night. The first night in the hospital he didn't come and see us until 11:00 that night.
Thank goodness he was nice enough to come over to the hospital just to release during his clinic time. We have had a very long 4 days in the hospital. Kymbell had an ivy in her arm that our wonderful nurse Matt put in first try. She pulled it out late saturday. That was very bad news for us
Matt got the only good vein she had. 6 very miserable sticks later we finally had another ivy in (only it was now in her poor little leg). They had to stick our baby a total of 11 times in the four days that we stayed there. As you can see in the picture she doesn't look to unhappy. We are just glad that our levels are where they should be and hope that her eating picks up to where it should be so we don't have to do this again. We will find out on Wed. at her Dr. appt. how she is doing. Wish us luck!

In the hospital.......

We went back to the Dr. 4/18 he direct admitted us to hospital. We have to stay til Sunday if not Monday. Kyle has to stay at home with Kadence b/c she now has the same virus. We just hope she stays hydrated enough to not be put in the hospital.
4/20 This has been a very long 3 days. Maybe we will get out Monday after the Dr. makes his rounds late that night.

Kymbell is worse than we thought.........

4/16 Poor little Kymbell is sicker than we thought she was. I have been giving the antibiotics for the ear infection and thinking it was causing the diarrhea. Then she starts vomiting today along w/ the diarrhea. Of course I called the Dr. and he was worried so I took her in. She lost 12 ozs and is dehydrated. I have 5 hours ( or until midnight) to get 18 ozs of fluid down her w/o vomiting or any diarrhea. If not we go to the hospital. She had a shot to try to help her and we already have 6 ozs in her. All I can do is hope.
4/17 We went to the Dr. she has gained 8 ozs back and he is very pleased. We go back tomorrow to make sure we are staying on track.

Sick for the first time:(

Poor Kymbell she has been through a couple of rounds of flu in our house and didn't get it.But she has her first ear infection not good news for us considering all of the kids have tubes from multiple ear infection. I think she is also trying to cut some teeth. She is so miserable. She never cries fusses or anything (ever) and for the past two days that is all she has done. She continues to just get bigger almost 18 lbs and a little over 28 inches long. Miss Kymbell is growing to fast for me.
